Search Party are an indie rock band from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Since they became a 5-piece in 2021 Seán McD, Chris Anderson, Ryan Pendleton, Gareth Hill and Dee Malone have tried to combine driving rhythms with melodic riffs to achieve an energetic, electric sound. Since then they have toured across the UK & Ireland packing out some of the most prestigious venues and playing some fabulous festivals from Stendhal to Spectrum. They released their debut full-length album ‘Too Much Red Tape’ and follow-up Indie-pop EP ‘Liminality’ to much acclaim.
Why Search Party?
Our music is fantastic and we conduct ourselves very professionally. In 2023 we completed a successful 10 date tour of The UK & Ireland, and we ran it DIY. We saved, booked venues, travelled, organised the shows, delivered top-quality performances, met some other fantastic artists, people showed up and they loved it. When all was said and done we caused no fuss, left every venue how we found it and thanked them for having us.
This gave us the affirmation that we are doing something right, we’re writing music that we enjoy making and people are happy to hear it. We’re then putting the work into performing them to the best of our ability and the crowd are responding by dancing, moshing, clapping and adding the tracks to their gym playlist when they go home.
On March 8th ‘Paradise’ will be the first of 3 singles we’re putting out in the first half of this year, there would be a bit of a buzz around us just before we set off for Festival season. This will be followed by a new EP later in the year and a headline show in The Empire (our biggest yet) on the 15th of November (being announced February 1st).
